Oxygen® MIL RD0419
Fast & Efficient DROIC for Staring FPAs, 8 µm Pitch, 2048 x 2048 Format
The Oxygen® MIL RD0419 was developed to improve the detection of small targets with large, staring, IR focal plane arrays. The DROIC enables the automatic identification and selection of regions of interest and can interrogate the pixels within that region to define and dynamically adjust the capture of pixel data within that region for optimum detection. It is possible to dynamically adjust the read-out of the image to optimize detection over small, select windows of interest. This design is capable of extending to larger formats. The Oxygen® MIL RD5033 is an advanced off-the-shelf DROIC with large format that can be used with any industry-standard direct-injection compatible N-on-P detector technology. The solution was designed to optimize FPA performance through state-of-the-art integrated features and multiple operating modes that offer flexibility for a wide range of high-performance application requirements. The Oxygen MIL RD5033 DROIC product family is intended to support stitched assemblies of up-to 8196 x 8196 array size with an 8 µm pixel pitch. Oxygen® HDR Imaging in Dual Integration Mode
The short clip above shows the moment that Oxygen®'s high dynamic range dual-integration mode is enabled.The soldering iron tip is first shown in standard operating mode with a single (short) integration time for all pixels; then, the dual-integration mode is enabled to run two different (short and long) integration times simultaneously across a checkerboard pattern on the array to reveal background detail as well.
